Having found our object through analytical meditation, we thenconcentrate on it single- pointedly for as long as possible in order to become deeplyacquainted with it. This single-pointed concentration is placement meditation. Usually,the term 'meditation' is used to refer to placement meditation, while analyticalmeditation is often referred to simply as 'contemplation'.
